QHSSE Coordinator
Maritime industry | Abu Dhabi | full-time Do you have a keen eye for safety, quality and process improvement? For an international maritime company in Abu Dhabi, we are looking for a QHSSE Coordinator who supports regional operations with knowledge, structure and decisiveness. You will ensure that projects ashore and at sea meet the highest QHSSE standards, always keeping an eye on people, processes and results.
This role is suited for professionals who…
have at least 5 years of experience in a comparable QHSSE position.
hold a qualification in Safety & Security Management or equivalent, such as NEBOSH.
are well-versed in QHSSE standards within the maritime industry.
bring hands-on experience with audits, incident analysis, and reporting.
operate comfortably in international environments and communicate effectively in English.
understand regional legislation, regulatory frameworks, and client-specific requirements.
navigate both operational and advisory responsibilities with confidence.
Scope of work
Implement QHSSE processes and standards in line with regional maritime projects.
Monitor and report QHSSE performance and promote maturity within the organization.
Coordinate training and support QHSSE obligations of employees.
Conduct audits, site inspections and advise on safe working practices.
Analyze incidents and prepare improvement measures.
Coordinate QHSSE activities in all project phases (from pre-qualification to close-out).
Advise in the preparation of (Q)HSSE and emergency plans.
Attend meetings with operations management, commercial and project teams.
Prepare reports, perform trend analysis and identify changes in legislation.
